I predict...
That the economy will get much worse in the next 6months to a year with or without the current Obama bailout, no duh... but when it does get worse, all republicans will point to Obama and his bailout as the reason. All democrats will continue to point at the Bush "wake" as the cause.. And not much will get solved.
It will take at least 2 years before anything Congress allows Obama to do, to have an impact - and if the republican minority continues to block democrats from their "turn at the economy" it will not get better, then by 2010 republicans will regain seats because they will convince the naive public that Obama didn't do anything.
The one "hope" I have, is that Obama can utilize the biggest power a president has: the power to persuade.
