...to be your lawfully wedded wives

The polygamists are at it again, a Canadian Mormon leader says "If (homosexuals) can marry, what is the reason that public policy says one person can't marry more than one person?"

A monogamous homosexual relationship somehow justifies a multiple partner marriage?

It's ridiculous. There are good reasons why a couple should only have one wife/husband, too many to go into but imagine the jealously, the fights, the mayhem. Regulating marriage to two people is also another way to "protect" the innocent younglings "forced" into the religious cults.

Also, something else: I remember back in Nov, some said, "If homosexuals can marry, then why not a cow and a human!" -- Umm, since when did homosexuals cease to be human? How horrible is it that gay people are labeled "non-human" and categorized as 2nd class citizens... Gay people want a monogamous relationship just like straight people.

Too much has been spewed about this marriage crap, and ultimately it was our own countries fault for not creating a secular marriage system, like many other countries did (ours was built around the British system I believe) so we continue to fight the long held religious views of old people mixed in with other people comparing gay people to animals or polygamy.
