And now random thoughts...
- The "MMA" must officially change it's name to "Extreme Kick-boxing". What happened to all these fights? I thought they were supposed to be the "anti"-boxing?
- If you've seen less than 3 episodes of a tv show, your opinion on it doesn't count.
- What a concept...The not-so-beautiful have talent too. As shown by web sensation Susan Boyle.
- Yo Mac users, the reason your systems "don't get viruses" has to do with the fact that no hacker is gonna spend time creating a virus that effects 1% of the world. You aren't "immune" to viruses! Just immune from popularity! If Mac OS X ran on 99% of computers like Windows does, you'd be just as screwed. Get over it.
- Funny how Apple promotes this "virus-free" fact by basically saying: "Our product is so unpopular that no one even bothers trying to mess with it. Enjoy!"
- The below quote is by a liberal talking about the new "decal" law in New Jersey which would require under 21 drivers to place a Velcro sticker labeled "NOVICE DRIVER" on the back of cars they drive.: "No issue is more important than protecting our children...we need to take every step possible to make it something that doesn't occur in the future.
- These types of quotes to me are too close to the messages of fear and panic that the "other" side likes to sling from time to time.
- When someone says: "Your either with the U.S or against the U.S". Meaning if you disagree with me (or even my methods) than you are my enemy, or un-American, or un-Patriotic. That is also fascist speak.
- And when ultimatums are played out, fascism seeps in.
- It is this "Black and White" world of scare tactics that I despise from both political parties.
- Let Texas and Alaska succeed. Then use the military they've paid so hard to keep and completely annihilate them.
- I just remembered something interesting. I heard the following dialogue from a daytime talkshow a couple months ago.
SHOW SUBJECT: "Bad Girls"
HOST: "Does anyone have a really nasty story about something they did?"
GUEST: (young blonde girl) "One time, I was in this bar and this dude in a wheelchair rolled in my way. I was sooo mad, because I was obviously going that way, so I kicked his chair and pushed him out of my way..."
AUDIENCE: "Ooooooo..."
HOST: "Why would you do that?"
GUEST: "I mean, it was like, he was in my way, it wasn't because he was in a chair. I mean ...if he was a real person, I'd do the same to them."
HOST: "Either way, it's still bad behavior"
END SCENE
The intereting thing to me, was that no one cared, or seemed to think anything was wrong with the fact that this blonde girl thinks people in wheelchairs aren't "real people".

There is no "the MMA."
ReplyDeleteMMA merely means "mixed martial arts" and describes a fighting style that incorporates several others.
"The UFC" is an organization.
Get it right, because you don't want to piss off an extreme kickboxer.
I certainly know about the UFC, I was a huge fan of it in the earlier days, hoyce gracie, dan severn, etc.... I didn't say "UFC" because I was assuming there is more than one organization with MMA type fighting... so I skimped on searching for the correct term and went with the unfiltered thought: "MMA"
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to realize, after recent posts on your blog, that people don't give anyone any room anymore.
That's because iss naht "A" room, it's "DAH ROOM"!!!
