Propositions 2008 - my predictions of the results

Prop 1a - high-speed trains - will not pass - unfortunately, cuz it costs money. But ultimately will save money and the earth, but who cares about stuff I won't be around for.
Prop 2 - Stop animal cruelty - will pass - some humans love animals more than humans.
Prop 3 - Children's hospital - toss up - people may say they'll vote yes, cuz it's for the kids, but ultimately their wallets will be the vote.
Prop 4 - Notify parent of abortion - will pass - and cost me money in dumpster-baby-clean up, thanks guys.
Prop 5 - more rehabilitation and discrimination of marijuana - will not pass - people will be duped into thinking this will cause more crime.. denying this will cost me more money, thanks guys.
Prop 6 - more "rights" for victims of crime, harsher penalties, etc, etc more punishment, kill, kill kill - will pass - will cost me more money, thanks guys.
Prop 7 - energy stuff - toss up - people are confused if this is good or not.
Prop 8 - deny marriage - will pass - civil rights issues take forever to get solved, the good news is that civil rights always win out, it'll just be about another 20 years. and when it does, California will get rich from all the marriages, but who wants more money?
Prop 9 - same as prop 6 - will pass - again people will get duped and vote yes and it'll cost me more money, thanks guys.
Prop 10 - energy stuff - will pass - this one is about research so I think it'll pass
Prop 11 - redistricting and other stuff - won't pass - people don't get it
Prop 12 - Veteran money - will pass - even people against war are not against people.

  1. Prop 1a - high-speed trains - I voted yes, selfishly

Prop 2 - Stop animal cruelty - will pass - I voted yes, even though it only helps egg-laying chickens, pregnant pigs, and baby cows. The rest of the animals will just have to continue to live in impossible conditions

Prop 3 - Children's hospital - toss up - I actually voted No on this. I normally vote yes for any need, however, the exact same hospitals got bonds in 2004 and still haven't spent all their money from that. So, I figure they need to spend all that money first then ask for more money

Prop 4 - Notify parent of abortion - I definitely voted NO. That's all we need is more rules for the police and lawyers to try to enact. Doctors are busy enough. Besides the fact that it is just morally wrong to me.

Prop 5 - more rehabilitation and discrimination of marijuana - Undecided on this one

Prop 6 - more "rights" for victims of crime, harsher penalties, etc, -Undedided on this one too

Prop 7 - energy stuff - toss up - I read the fine print and it is badly written, lots of duplication of effort, no way to ensure that it happens correctly, needs a 2/3 vote to correct problems unforseen currently

That's all I've got so far.
