And now... Random Thoughts

• If you didn't know, Tim Burton is directing Alice in Wonderland. Lots of pics of Alice here. Of course, everyone is skeptical about this cuz Tim is kinda hit or miss, but he's still riding high from Sweeney Todd so this may turn out okay for him. (I personally think Deep Roy shoulda gotten best supporting nod for "Charlie" and screw you for disagreeing.)
• I understand the reason why people hate David Blaine. I get it, he's a magician that doesn't do magic. But in his defense, even the earliest magicians where known for stunts. Houdini was a master of the death defying stunt/magic show. But people don't want to compare Blaine to Houdini or Bonds to Ruth. Doing so "cheapens" their accomplishments. But I disagree.
• Finally some heroes in the house! Police didn't shoot anyone! Yay!
• Oh Dear! Another one of God's right-hand men. Remember to see Religulous Oct. 3rd!
• They messed up Knight Rider the tv series. Any other show, I would have written off at this point, but since I was such a fan of the original series, I haven't completely given up on them, but they better get it right soon. They did so well with the special made-for-tv movie! Get on it people! The transforming thing is lame, especially when he transforms into a freaking pickup truck, but I can live with it. But please get rid of some of the cast, there are too many people on this show. It's about Michael and Kitt.. not about the FBI, some computer dudes, girlfriends etc. Michael Knight is a loner remember! Yes, have a girl.. fine!... Yes, have a specialist and a base to fix Kitt...fine... But don't give them a ton of lines, they are not the main focus of the show. And don't over dramatize everything! Everybody knows Michael is gonna live through a life-threatening situation so don't cut to a commercial every time he's trapped. You are trying too hard to suck out the drama! Let the drama happen naturally through the writing and situation...make it suspenseful not soap-opera dramatic! And I hate the weird looking orb thing that Kitt talks out of.
• Space Exploration is key to humans survival. And I agree! You may laugh at this and you may think it's a waste of time, but Christopher Columbus got the same snickers and jeers during his time (I may have just made you chuckle) but it's true. Not in my life and not in the next 100 years but eventually we must travel through space and out of our galaxy.
• Media isn't the voice of the people. Politicians are (supposed to be). Media is the voice of the dollar.
• It looks like Sasha Cohen is bringing his gay Austrian character to America. I actually fear for his safety in some parts of the U.S. Sasha, in Europe they are very accepting of every life-style, they actually follow the creed: "All men are created equal".. hey wait! Maybe we should put that in our constitution... oh wait, we are the one's who came up with it. Well, America hasn't really had the best history with equality and following the bill of rights, but I guess we are trying to get better. (Vote for equality by voting no on Prop 8) Anyways, we still have alot of nutballs in this country, so be very careful who you mess with.
• This is a good read too. How it's hard to overturn a right once it's already been established. (Roe v. Wade in this example)
